Big Colorful Books Are Still Popular

With all the technology available we are often asked why print?  Well there is a simple reason for that.  People still like to read and have the feeling of flipping through page after page.
Imagine what we would do without our favorite magazine, journal, calendar or coffee table book.

So here are 5 reasons why you should consider printing your travel book, journal or calendar:

1. Great conversation starter

Yes,  seeing the copy of a beautiful coffee table book will grab your guests attention.  You have to admit that you enjoy browsing through the picture books of your friends.

2. A book does not get lost in a bunch of computer files.

A book is ever present.  Images are beautiful and the content is interesting. There is something comforting seeing and touching a book, think about the Bible, which by the way is one of the top 10 most read books in the world.  Books are patient and wait until you pick them up.  It does not require any electricity nor special lighting.  It is, well, a book.

3. Books add class and comfort to your decor

After you read and enjoyed a book it is still a decorative part of your environment.  Picture a room with a nicely decorated bookshelf vs. one without.  Which one would you think feels more inviting?

4. Family Heirloom

Did you ever pick up the favorite book that your grandmother was talking about?  You actually may be finding a secret note inside one of these family collectibles. Books have a way of staying around . What did you think about the last time you saw a copy of “Gone with the Wind”? Without the help of the book you might not even know who Harry Potter is.

5. Books can keep a circle of friends close together

Have you ever joined a book-group?  They can be fun and exhilarating.  These groups are everywhere and the members typically will bring the books along. This gives them the opportunity to flip quickly through  to refresh the memory of the plot.  You cannot find the passages as quick on a computer pad as flipping through the pages of the book.
Great friendships are started in these groups as well. Check with your local library of where to find a great group.  We are certain you won’t regret the sometimes lively conversations.

So here you are you can see that books are still well loved.  I certainly look forward to picking up the next bestseller, sit in the backyard or the beach and let myself be transformed into another world.
